will it top teenage dream? no, but i don't think anyone expects it to. teenage dream had that 1-2 punch with Firework/E.T. that really propelled it into 2011 and after that they just milked the eff out of it. Really a great time for her.

It doesn't have the hits to maintain the sales this go around.

I don't know how people could think that the proportion of album sales to single sales is a more accurate indicator of the success of the era than total sales themselves.

Because Gaga promoted but MTN and Judas couldn't even sell 1M in US, while every song released by Katy was multi-platinum so the label kept releasing other singles.
