It wasn't but of course after it was a hit, it turned into the first single. I think it changed the direction of the album as well.

i was just talking to nadja earlier today on twitter about nicki's 2 or 3 incoming entries tomorrow--
'bedrock' debuted on the hot 100 on 12/19/09, and if nicki plays her cards right, she could have a total of about 15 or so hot 100 entries before that time this year.

she's already set the record for most billboard hot 100 entries in one year by a female rap artist--
more entries just means the record is harder to break.
