I get why he got reported - as it could be viewed as quite an insensitive comment under the circumstances.
However what he is saying is correct (and is good for people who are now anxious/fearful about flying after these things that keep happening). Although they are awful, tragic and scary, they are still in the grand scheme of things extremely rare.
So although it's easy to say it - please don't let this affect you travelling etc. And if this is terrorists, this sentiment applies even further, as it's just letting them win.
Regardless this is enormously sad, my thoughts are with all of the people on-board and their families. I just really, really hope we find out what happened and this isn't just another 'mystery of the missing plane' situation, cause that is just so much worse for the families of the victims, you're left with a life of never truly knowing what happened to your loved ones. Awful.
Is it pretty much assumed this is ISIS related? Or are we unsure yet?
