I got a c in physics so don't take my word for it, but I think science says that colour is like an illusion. Basically light reflects off of the surface of objects and then bounces on to our retinas so we can percieve colour. When there is no light and we are in darkness what do we see? Black. And no colour. But when there is light and we still see black I guess that means it's not reflecting any colour back. Black is just the absence of colour.
