Well heres all thats goign on. Jojo has been recording since 2007. Everything was fine back then. Her label then lost their distributing deal with Universal. Without a distributor, you cant release albums. So she had a full album recorded by June of 2009 and they were just waiting for that deal. Later things sorta came together, Interscope was in talks Blackground for the deal. Then Jojo's smaller label, Da Family, wouldnt let her release the album or leave the label. She then sued them for 500,000 big ones. The deal with Blackground/Interscope was official in October of 2009 but there was still a few legal things that needed to be sorted out with the lawsuit. I doubt Blackground/Interscope is holding her back or just not working, because they did release Timbaland's 'Shock Value 2' last December.

I just think Jojo is at the stage where she knows its go hard or go home, and she just keeps recording and keeps recording. The rlease of the album is out of her hands. If they plan to release this album this year,TRUST ME it would flop. They need alot of time to reintroduce her as a artist which takes time. So we just have to wait it out.

I say she needs to start getting on the promo, the VMA's and TCA's are coming up, it's not too late to schedule a performance in both...

Okay for TCA it may be late but maybe they could send a teaser video of In The Dark, get the hype going. Start doing heavy promo with that single and the mixtape and then perform at the VMA's and then more heavy promo... have the first single from the album out by Oct or Nov and then album out by Dec or Jan

I mean my schedule may be pushing things a little fast but she took a break and in some ways still relevant, she had Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet in 2008 so that was only two years and demos have been leaking and getting good feedback so its only building the little hype. So why not just go for it. I mean sure she'll have to do damage control because she's no longer the 13 your old singing "Leave" or 16 singing "Too Little Too Late" but her absence could open peoples eyes and show she isn't a little girl anymore. Like you said they can squeeze her in to do a presenting an award at the TCA's and the opening annoucer can be like "she has mixtape coming out this month with a new single" and then bam after that do heavy radio and tv promo to say hello i'm back, do a VMA performance or present, more promo, and then get the album out the end of this year....

The times have changed and they still haven't wrapped that around their thoughts, they still think this industry will be like it was in the 70's and 80's. It's harder now that technology has basically taken over and we have iTunes and people caring more about songs and albums leaking. There is much more than in the box thinking that they don't how to do that we do...
