14. Oneohtrix Point Never - 'Garden of Delete'
Lopatin's most aggressive and in-your-face work to date. But it still somehow manages to be mysterious and unpredictable. There's a song about teenage mutant alien there, there's another with a crazy sample and there's the closing track, "No Good", which reminds me for some reason of Bon Iver's cheesy (but still great) "Beth/Rest"


13. Shamir - 'Ratchet'
Such a fun record! On the one hand we have here some party anthems such as synth-crazy "Call It Off", a rap song about Shamir himself ("On the Regular"), Hercules and Love Affair-circa-debut-album moment ("In For the Kill") and true bangers ("Make a Scene" and "Head In the Clouds"). But on the other Shamir proves us that he can also make slower, calmer songs, like "Demon" or stripped down bonus track "KC", that are just as good as the faster ones.




14. Hudson Mohawke - "Ryderz"
Highlight from pretty mediocre 'Lantern'. That sample


13. Kendrick Lamar - "Alright"
Hasn't everything already been said about this song?
Side note: it was so good to see Kendrick live this august, I still keep getting flashbacks from that night

I love Garden Of Delete. Such a different album from him, but still excellent Beth/Rest is one of my favorite Bon Iver songs too.

I haven't listened to Hudson's newest yet, but took a listen to Ryderz. You're right about the sampe Nice and soulful.

12. Deerhunter - 'Fading Frontier'
Another solid Deerhunter album. Not as noisy as 'Monomania', not as melancholic as 'Halcyon Digest' and not as dreamy as 'Microcastle' and 'Weird Era Cont.', but still has its own vibe.


11. Björk- 'Vulnicura'
'Vulnicura' is a heartbreak album. It's Björk's most personal, honest and emotional work.





12. Carly Rae Jepsen - "Run Away With Me"
Arguably the best pop single of the year. It should have smashed, it's so good

With her signature single "Feel You" (and with 'Have You In My Wilderness') Julia Holter proves that her music can be accessible and at the same time can have the similar vibe to her other stuff.

Björk Run Away With Me is amazing! but a little bit overrated here on ATRL (underrated worldwide )

First, and foremost, "Run Away With Me" is a masterpiece. So is "Feel You" and, of course, mama Björk's album, and Empress Of, Shamir, and Jamie xx were all great too.

But, let's move on to our king, OPN. I really thought it would be higher, though! Still, fantastic album, probably one of my favourites of his (along with 'Replica' and 'Zones Without People').

And Run Away With Me should have at least Uptown Funk'd success-wise if not for everyone to experience it, at least we got the masterpiece of the song though.

I don't get to express my love for OPN very often on here, but Replica was life changing I think I like Betrayed In The Octagon a little more than ZWP
