Yes I've heard Butterfly. It was OK, fun but inconsequential R&B/Pop.
Madonna is one of the greatest top line writers in the history of pop music, from "Into the Groove" to "Vogue" to "Music" to "Hung Up". And if you think all she writes is 'sexualized lyrics even Miley is capable of' (and Miley penned some great lyrics for her last album so I'm not sure why that's a negative thing?) then
you're the one who has only listened to her dance hits.
Compare how Madonna and Mariah write about the passing of one of their parents:
Little girl don't you forget her face
Laughing away your tears
When she was the one who felt all the pain
In three lines she sums up so much about their relationship, the way her mother died, frames the song from the perspective of her present self looking back in a touching and evocative manner. You can feel her pain in these three lines.

Laborious sums up her choice of words. "Flaxen-haired", seriously? And the second line... That's the issue with Mariah's lyrics. Either she's spelling things out literally in a ham-fisted way, or she's seemingly advertising a thesaurus. No subtelty whatsoever, to the point where it neuters any emotional impact.
