"Because you know I'm all about that bass, bout that bass, no treble" being repeated 29 times throughout a song is not objectively good songwriting. Subjectively you may enjoy it because of the repetition and the melody, but objectively, it is not good songwriting. If this were an English class, that would be unacceptable.
Now take Carly Rae's Warm Blood:
"I've got a cavern of secrets,
None of them are for you.
Even if you wanted to keep them,
Where would you find the room?
Let down my guard tonight,
I just don't care anymore.
I've told a hundred lies,
But I don't want to tell you any at all."
This is something that is objectively good. Subjectively, you might not enjoy the song or relate to the lyrics, but it is quality songwriting that would be acceptable in a writing class. You can enjoy your own type of songwriting, but objectively there's a difference between good lyrics and bad lyrics.
