Everyone's scared of Adele. Even 1D changed their date because of her and we all know she'll be #1 for like 3 months. The move makes total sense.

Release a lead single in January and then the album in March.

But this is all HDD's speculation. It's not like we ever had a confirmed date and then it got pushed back. Besides, she did give us new music throughout 2015 (and collabs in 2013/14), so the wait is not that brutal.
