Secularism had its root on Christianity. In fact, the form of government prescribed by the New Testament is actually a secular one as opposed to a theocracy in the Old Testament. So Christianity is completely compatible with the US Constitution. A Christian theocracy that many American Christians want to impose is actually against the principles of Christianity.

He says the presidents religion should be consistent with the constitution, but in the constitution it lays out principle for separation of church and state.
And by that logic that means every president should be non religious..
Well Islam condemns Muslims with positions of power like President and such who don't apply Sharia law anyway, so yeah I don't think a Muslim would even think of running for President in a non Muslim country
Actually, Islam does come with a culture. So yeah, it can dictate the politics you believe in. Like I said, if said Muslim can seperate his religion from his political views and decisions, then he should be fit to become president.
But what about all the christian presidents that push their religion on America? Nobody cares about that
His right though. Would you like to live under Sharia Law?
Why would having a Muslim president mean we'd live under Sharia Law? Trinidad & Tobago, Fiji and India have elected a Muslim leader before and all 3 are still secular countries.
