there are talented singers of all races. Celine, Barbara, Kate Bush, Dusty Springfield and Karen Carpenter are some of the greatest singers ever and they are white. I dont even know why this is a thread.

No shade, but artists like Taylor wouldn't be successful if they were black. It's just the way it is.

Black people naturally have more soul and rhythm. Most of the whites who can sing and dance really well had to learn how-either through Broadway training or dance classes that they often take throughout their youth. It was a learned skill, not a natural ability. Go to any hood and you can find alot of black people singing or dancing like pros with 0 technical training.

Get your facts straight.
Nobody said that white females have no talent, but that black female singers are usually better.

Even on talent shows, for the most part black are always better.

What does being from the hood have to do with singing prowess? Unless being black = being from the hood...
Anyway I disagree with that because I know many many non-blacks who can do a lot of that naturally, and I know a lot of blacks who aren't good at it. it's all a bunch of generalizations and stereotypes, in a world where many people don't even fit into the "black or white" categories

but what you said isnt a fact, its just either
a. your opinion
b. a shared opinion.
There are other genres of music besides soul and rnb. What this thread is implying is that the greatest singers have to be soul style singers, and by saying that, you are ignoring other genres that include female vocalists of other races. Its balanced across the board.

I agree fir the most part.

Don't do TOO MUCH. Seeing as though Aaliyah was a actually trained vocalist from a young age and has more of a voice and or sings better than all of those names beside hers and almost all the major pop girls.

Sure, a white owned publication that nobody's takes seriously. Also, considering the fact, some of those white singers (like your fave), grew listening to those black female singers, and attempting to imitate their vocal styling.

Yeah, Country Music is one hell of a racist industry, so she probably wouldn't. But Taylor can play piano, guitar, ukelele and can write her own songs and they blend nicely with her vocals, so i'm not really sure what you mean with "artists like Taylor"
