A song getting millions of views means it's remembered, even if another gets more views.
For example, Girls Just Want To Have Fun gets more views than BOMT every month (5M > 4M).
You can't use the "This song gets more recurrent views so the other one is forgotten". It's not like Bad Romance is getting less than a million views every month, so I don't get your point.
