I don't think it's trolling, but bias. Lbr, every fanbase is full of bias members. But I do agree that even while being biased, some members saying Katy know that it's GaGa.
Katy obviously. In 2010 gaga wasn't even the biggest, that was Rihanna

Gaga by far, all of the receipts are there. Sure Katy has big success but she hasn't had the massive impact that Gaga has.

-sold more singles
-sold more albums
-had a much bigger tour
-won more Grammys
-won more VMA's
Had the #1 video across the internet. People were checking for her much, much more outside of her singles.
