I don't think he meant it in the way you think he might have meant it. Seems like an innocent, possibly misguided tweet to me.

I mean the fact that black people STARTED it as #BlackLivesMatter for their movement and then people DELIBERATELY changed it to somewhat detract from the original movement is just...
bishwhet.....

I never saw it as that and I never would've unless you just told me the history of the hashtag.
And I still don't see it like that for me and my individual use of it as a minority individual.
Look at the individual, not the term. If he didn't use it in a #WhiteLivesMatterTOO context I don't see a problem with it.
But I guess that's what you get for using a term charged with racist contexts. (Even though I had no idea and he probably didn't either)

Explain.
I wholeheartedly agree with the rest of your post but I don't understand this part. How exactly is it discrediting?
I always hear it but no one explains the mechanics of it. Why? How? Really?
Honestly I think some people are injecting more meaning into this than Zac originally intended.

The entire point of #BlackLivesMatter is to spotlight #BLACK lives - since the judicial system is COMPLETELY overlooking them.
"Black" lives is the issue, not ALL lives.
Now, ALL lives DO matter - yes. But BLACK lives seem to be the ones who are always the first to go with no hint of justice. THAT is the movement. THAT is why BLACK lives matter. This is not an ALL lives matter, this is a BLACK lives matter. If the judicial system won't do anything, we will.
Zac is a ridiculous idiot for not researching what the hell he was saying, but I always deemed him as ignorant so this thread is not surprising.

Which makes it even worse.
Like, you've seen Black men get killed by random vigilantes, Black men strangled by police, Black men and children shot and killed by police, Black children abused and assaulted by police, and have now just seen an entire group of Black people in a church murdered in cold blood by a White racist. WHAT motivates you to tack on "#AllLivesMatter"? WHERE is the relevance?
Efron can miss me.

The fact that the shooter isn't being branded a terrorist and rather being justified is more offensive to muslims than the black community. But, of course the latter could care less about that and remain thinking they're the only oppressed group out there. And, when some celebrity like Zac sheds light on the subject by acknowledging the fact that more than one group is discriminated against, all the black members of this site lose their ****.

Okay - got it.
But I don't think it's good to ridicule him, call him an "idiot" and "ignorant."
I mean, I didn't know it had a white supremacy/erasure history. I just took the term at face value.
If you go aggressively criticizing everyone as racist simply for using an seemingly innocuous term, that's doesn't sit well with me. Explain it first.
And I'm not even white. I'm not even arguing the racist aspect of it; I'm arguing the jumping-to-conclusions-and-branding-anyone-who-uses-the-term-as-a-white-supremacist aspect. People are very charged when they discuss emotional matters like these and sometimes it has some bad side effects.

I don't care what y'all's opinions of #AllLivesMatter vs. #BlackLivesMatter (the former could also be misinterpreted in the first place), if you're getting upset of ****ing hashtags you need to go take a walk. He didn't actually say anything offensive. Get over it.

The both being in there made me think he's saying blacks matter too in the context that the judicial system was saying that they didn't, not white lives matter as much as blacks with the idea that #Blacklivesmatter was "discriminating". But I'm probs wrong.

I truly think he meant no harm, he's a really nice guy. I really like him.
I think people are dragging him because of his ignorance, not because they think his intention was bad.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not at all.
This issue is about BLACK people, not Asians, not Hispanics, and certainly not White people. None of those races have had the history of targeted hatred, oppression, and discrimination that Black people have had in this country. The #BlackLivesMatter hashtag was made as a reaction to the deaths of people like Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown, people who prove that Black people in America are STILL feeling and living in the effects of that history to this day. For any race, especially White people, to attempt to include themselves in that hashtag is completely ignorant. The #AllLivesMatter was created by people on social media who actively sought to take away from the #BlackLivesMatter movement, actively supported Zimmerman, Darren Willson, and "the facts", participated in victim blaming and racial profiling and stereotyping, and created the #CopLivesMatter hashtag in response as well.
It's 2015 and I do not respect anyone who still chooses to join in on that trash. To say #AllLivesMatter is a deliberate attempt to detract from the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Also this. All these other minorities need to stop trying force inclusion in to issues that black people face far more prominently.

I want you to reread this sentence and tell me how a group of black people's murder being justified is more offensive to muslims(Who also come in black. I know shocking) than black people.

Right. I'm not saying he's an evil racist, but his inclusion of that hashtag is not commendable in any capacity and I'm not gonna sugar coat it.

#BlackLivesMatter #AllLivesMatter is better than either one alone, imo.
