To be honest, I can't fairly choose any of the three options.

As far as the GP is concerned, she gets the right amount. They mostly dislike her for the lack of technical skill and racial appropriation. All fair.

HOWEVER, many select people on the internet take things to a whole new level. Digging up things from years ago which she has since clarified/apologized for. Taking things drastically out of context. Consistently bringing up pointless criticism when any progress is made.

I tried to defend her to someone recently when someone said she gets everything she deserved. I had all the points in the above paragraph and examples and support to these claims. She then replied, "Oh. I never even knew about those issues to begin with."

Conclusion: yes and no?

I have no response to this because I do not partake in said bolded actions. So I'm going to have to redirect your baseless statement elsewhere.

Also I refuse to address the notion that self-hate apparently doesn't exist and the general assumption being made that because "soandso says hateful things every day, it perfectly ok for blablah to do it as well" because well, I have common sense.

This. Tearing her down won't change that racism and homophobia are still a thing. That's not the way to change the perception of people regarding these 2 topics.

This. There was a lot of love for Iggy before she became successful, and then the moment that she started to threaten some people's faves (not literally but with music and success), people started to dig deep and go after her. That's not to say that some stans of other female rappers aren't fine with her, but I just find it all annoying. Why can't the GP (and ATRL) let female rappers coexist in their lanes without pitting them against each other?
