It's not Nicki fault that she keeps herself grinding year in and year out. It's up to you other female rappers to get off your ass and put in real work. Radio spins, red carpet events, chart sucess, Forbes list, magazines covers. Etc.. Nicki has all that. I know being independent artist is hard. But look at Macklemore, Mac miller etc., they are fine.
You just gotta grind hard as hell. Nicki & iggy is the only successful female rappers out. That's pretty sad, out of the female rappers I seen out today. Dej loaf is more of a swag rapper than an actual female rapper. I can't count her really.

Iggy Azalea being nominated is more shocking to me than Azealia complaining (this time she's right tho). I also feel bad for Tink, Trina and Dej Loaf, they have less of a chance.
Nicki COULD pull a Oprah and take herself out of the award nomination/give it to someone else
(if you don't know what I'm talking about, Oprah started winning an Emmy for best show every year, that she felt bad and would always take herself out of the nominations so others could shine)
She's critiquing BET's process more than anything. She just feels like there's no point in anyone else besides Nicki to be nominated for the award because she ends up winning it every year.
The last few tweets were for Nicki's fans because she can already hear them going after her.
And she's not saying anything bad about Nicki. I feel the same way. I think it's quite unfair how Nicki and Beyonce are nominated and a shoe-in for their BET categories, when they actually have a chance to be recognised by more mainstream awards like the Grammys. It just makes no sense to have Bey up against K. Michelle and Nicki up against Angel Haze like that. They are in a completely different league of popularity.
It's not Nicki's fault that none of these girls have truly stepped to her like that after six years, though. You can argue last year was the time, but still.
I see where she's coming from, and I believe BET said they want to still preserve the category.
She should be grateful to even be nominated.
