Top 50 Singles:
#35. Keri Hilson - Knock You Down (feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo)
Ms. Keri Baby came hard in 2009, especially with her Top 5 single, "Knock You Down". With assistance from Kanye West & Ne-Yo, this song managed to solidify her status as a female artist who MATTERS. Keri's working on her follow up album as wek speak, and it will probably be full of guest features...but who cares? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.7
#34. Kanye West - Welcome To Heartbreak (feat. Kid Cudi)
I really don't know why I liked "Welcome To Heartbreak" so much. Maybe is was the simple, broken down nature of the production or maybe the simplicity of the lyrics and the story that Kanye was delivering. Either wayI thought the MUSIC VIDEO could have been better.
#33. Beyonce - Broken Hearted Girl
"Broken Hearted Girl" was one of the best songs off of "I Am...Sasha Fierce". I liked the fact that for Beyonce, it was a simple vocal. Not a lot of vocal theatrics, just singing. It wasn't really properly promoted as a single though....shame.Girl
#32. Keyshia Cole - You Complete Me
"You Complete Me" wasn't my favorite Keyshia single when I first heard it, and here's why; it marked the end of "angry, always sad Mary J. Blige clone." After I got over my initial disappointment, I fell in love with "You Complete Me". It showcased Keyshia's matured (and on key) vocals, and it showcased her growth as a person. She's earnest in he delivery of the song, and she's modest in her vocal delivery. I'm seriously awaiting another Keyshia Cole album, because I'm excited how much further she can grow as an R&B artist.
#31. Chris Brown - I Can Transform Ya (feat. Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz)
"I Can Transform Ya" was released as the lead single from Chris Brown's third album, "Graffiti" and stays true to his upbeat sound, but the beat knocks so HARD. I know Chris ****ed up in a major way, but I'm still shocked this song never got any higher than #20 on the Hot 100. Assisted by Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz, the song seemed like a surefire hit.
Next Update, I will begin my Top 20 Albums, hope you guys like this set!
