I know this is her messing with it, nailing down a melody idea without having most of the lyrics, but she sounds like Miranda Sings and it makes me scream

This was never meant to be heard by anyone outside of those working on the song, its clearly just her vibing with it. Sia played her original first demo of Diamonds on Howard Stern and it was pretty similar with the gibberish-like vocals.
If this demo had been made in 2014 those "yaaaaaaaaaay! wooooooo!" buts probably would have been replaced with soundbytes of fans screaming "YAAAAAAAAAAASSSS!!!!!!"
