Discussion: Why is Rihanna so much more global than ha contemporaries?

45S is a barebones pop song with 2 A list features. It's not folk, and it is certainly not un-radio-friendly (quite the opposite). So, lets clear that up first of all. It is a great song, maybe even a fantastic song, but not some experimenal risk some people claim it is. Plus, Rihanna had the GRAMMYs (biggest music award show) and a big radio deal first week within the first week. Most of these other girls just do radio interviews and maybe a VMA performance at the beginning.
Rihanna isn't heaps and bounds more global than any of her contemporaries either. I would say at this point, they're all pretty equal. However in 2010/2011 she was hard to escape wherever you where.

These annoying trolls could use their brain. They know Rihanna could snatch much more dates (outselling them) if she wanted.
Italy alone : she didn't tour here with the DWT despite outselling two dates with the Loud era. /thread

How come its doing worse on radio than her other lead singles? And stop using the "but it has kanye and Paul as features" when their song vanished from the charts after like 2 weeks. It is at least riskier than the latest lead singles from her peers no matter how hard you try to disclaim this.

Maybe because it isn't as popular as her lead singles sales and streaming wise, I don't know. That Kanye/ Paul point is flawed as well, as many artists who have dead solo single careers (Paul/ Kanye) could collab with bigger artists (Rihanna) to create a bigger hit than the artist (Rihanna) would achieve being solo.
Plus, personally I would argue Drunk in Love and Applause are probably less accessible.

US market is huge. SIO didn't sold more than Diamonds outside the US. So Diamonds is much more global than SIO. Which song sold more copies? I don't know, maybe SIO (US market is huge).
