Feel your body closing, I can rip it open <3
21. Train - Bulletproof Picasso
The year I gave into Train <3 Massive melody after massive melody on this album. Clumsy but interesting kind of sums up the album, especially on “Give It All” – pretty standard chorus about missing a lover, and then a bunch of random references to white privilege in the verses?!? Peters off pretty dramatically for the last 3 songs though. Aka the opposite of…
20. Charli XCX - Sucker
Very consistent, although nothing is quite as life-changing as “Take My Hand”. The first ten tracks are all nice enough, but omg at the way this album closes! The final 3 songs are SO massive. “Die Tonight” is the best kind of generic, “Caught In The Middle” is so smooth and “Need Ur Luv” would have made my tracks list over ****ing “Boom Clap” if I’d had the album for longer. Soooo good. The vocal switch-ups are AMAZING, especially in the bridge.
