Empowerment. Struggle. Strength. Despite its many different sounds, the lyrics are coherent and mostly wonderful. The album revolves around living with confidence and overcoming obstacles.

Ultraviolence is more of Lana's cliché whining about the same damn things; A dead boyfriend, a rich abusive daddy and her dysfunctional relationship.The melodies are cute tho

I went through them all realizing I was highlighting all of Born This Way, all of Born This Way to be completely honest. Born This Way is superior to Ultraviolence, and I like a lot of Ultraviolence, it was hard to choose between Brooklyn Baby and Judas, because I truthfully love Brooklyn Baby, but I have better memories with Judas, and have listened to it a whole lot more, that breakdown gets me everytime.

It has no meaning ? Lol, everything what an artist has done, has meaning to them. Just because you are too blind to see it or you need straightforward messages, it doesnt mean it has no meaning. For example Nina Simone´s cover has definitely meaning with it being the last song of the album.

But each to his own, I guess. Listen to your empowerement songs, EDM bops and dont torture your brain with more unhidden messages and pictures. The album wasnt even meant for you.
