Like why are you, and so many others in this thread going like "omg wTFF?! basic white bitch will be forgetten, cant compre to michael jackon!111!!!12 :ahhh: mess" like ****ing chill, please, it's seriously not that serious. Not even her stans would agree that this album will have as much impact as thriller. I certainly don't and it would be stupid of me to say that. It will open big, and probably sell steadily over the next few months, and end up with around 6 million sold WW. Stop being so damn extra.

Extra? The irony.
And that wasn't a dig at her stans, it's a dig at the media's overhyping of this. Nothing about this album is going to shift the industry because the album itself is just a conformity to what is already popular. The media hyping it up and it having massive first week sales means nothing if the material isn't memorable. Most of the songs are well written and produced, but outside of that it offers nothing else.
This album will last longer than a week, unlike most albums these days, because Taylor is a hugely popular figure, but in the long term picture the album will be forgotten. The material just isn't strong enough to stay in people's minds.
Shake It Off is a catchy ear-worm that is fun to listen to, but it's no classic.
