Nicole Scherzinger signed a 5 million contract with Sony music. I'm certain they have a plan for Nicole, we don't know what it is. Nicole won't get dropped as Sony barely spent any budget on her.
At this point, we should wait and see, there has to be massive promos planned that has yet to be unravelled. Artists get dropped when the label is losing money on them, as far as I'm concerned the whole Big Fat Lie campaign so far, they spent very little money compared to the size of the contract.
TL; DR
Nicole won't get dropped, as Sony is not losing money on her since they barely spent any money on her.

Preach! I swear, if they spent more than 5k on the whole album promo...
And all of the "Nicole's new album is OUT?!" comments justify our talks about it's (low) promo.

Why would someone drop an artist that gets signed to star in one of the most-awaited musicals in the UK?

I don't follow much of Nicole, but perhaps maybe she could use a better stage name? She should drop the "Scherzinger" and just become known as "Nicole."
I also agree that lending her vocals to an EDM track would really help, or even another big popstar. We've seen how much that helped Sia, Charli, and Jessie J.

She should've done a collab with Enrique (OTR with Enrique on it would slay) and release it as second single. I'm pretty sure that it would generate some serious buzz.

That's not how it works. Sony would have it in the contract that they reserve the right to terminate her deal with them if her debut album does not sell x amount of copies.
Regarding the $5m, that's not a true figure. Press releases by labels signing new artists over exaggerate the value of the deal as it makes the artist appear more desirable, which is beneficial for the artist & therefore the label.

Because labels don't care about musicals ???
The kinds of artists who do musicals are Carly Rae Jepsen's, not Michael's & Whitney's.

It was The Sun that started the $5million Sony contract rumour. Everybody else followed. Ain't nobody paying out that kind of money for somebody with her solo track record. Or lack of. Not in this day & age. Hell no.

Lemme not lie, I think everybody has just MOVED ON from Nicole. Nobody's buying that music, let's be honest. At this point, I don't even know why she's not yet independent because obviously these labels don't have her vision in their interests. Like, WHERE THE HELL IS "PRETTY (STUDIO VERSION)"....This Big Fat Lie just seems like they made an album looking at the competition right now and not on Nicole's sound but whatever, it was BOUND 2 happen!

Let's see, this news article is also based on rumours. I get you really want Nicole to flop (don't even deny it) but I don't believe Sony would drop her that easily. Nicole lasted 6 years under Interscope with only one album out and 5 shelved albums, I think she can survive Sony.

This news article is also based on rumours tho and its only been reported on one website. The $5 million contract (which was around 3.5 million pounds) was reported in many news outlets.

I don't wish for her to get dropped because I like her but something is not clicking. Killer Love was, in my opinion, brilliant. The RedOne-produced tracks were brilliant, especially. Your Love was quite good but On The Rocks was terrible. It was aimless, hookless and boring, certainly not the thing to launch an album off of.

I didn't know her album was released...She never has a big buzz or even a little buzz around her albums which is more on her managers and A&R team not her cause she has talent.
