Lol!200 dates for DWT would have been considered the miracle of the century, considering the bad press she got.Twist it anyway you want, but the fact still remains that Katy is going to easily outgross Rihanna.

Diamonds and Stay alone>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Yes Dark Horse was big but it will be forgotten like all the other Katy singles after the era is over. At least people still know Diamonds and Stay, and even with less promotion Rih slayed. Katy did a million perfomances of Unconditionally and it still flopped. And Loveeeeeee Song wasn't a single.

Remember how none of these four songs had any live performances on a nationally televised show? It's amazing Rih even got to those peaks in such a fickle music environment with minimal promo and no gold truck to advertise the album's release.

As for the tours, Katy has over 30 more dates than rihanna, rihanna's average is much better compared to hers

Well then why are you surprised if the tour does better, she had more dates as you said due to the supposed demand and why shouldn't she then not gross more? What is even there for debate?

pressed obsessed OK

Katy did dozens of promo performances for her singles so I'm not surprised they were a bit bigger

The DWT was 99.6% sold out and an average of 1.9M,regardless of the bad press
She could have easily added dates if she wanted to
Katy Perry might gross more but only because of the 50 more dates she's had as compared to rihanna, if rihanna were to have 130 dates like her she would have grossed about 240M , it isn't really that hard to add more dates

duh? lol each era had two big hits, and both Roar and Dark Horse were bigger than Diamonds and Stay.
that being said, Stay is a better song than the other three, imo.

mess, everything you're saying is subjective. YOU alone know that people have forgotten katy's singles, but that they haven't forgotten Rihanna's?

I think so. But then again Diamonds and Stay were really huge. Maybe Katy's singles were bigger in the US and Rih's bigger worldwide?

The fact that Katy had roughly FOUR times more promo should be considered.
And still, UA era was bigger.

Prism era is promoted to death compare to Rih UN minimal promo. UN is still the iconic and better era of the two.

I think people are forgetting that Rihanna was on her 5th tour and Katy's on her 3rd tour.
It took Madonna over 20 years to get her best grossing tour, it doesn't just happen within the first or second tour.
Regardless, Katy is on her way to outgrossing Rihanna's diamond tour. She just had more demand, and she'll have even more demand once the superbowl is done.
Single wise Katy takes the edge as she's not done with her era and Roar/DH seemed to have sold more than Stay/Diamonds.
Album sales are equal.
Katy dominates in streaming.
It's safe to say Katy wins this era.
