yes, most rappers have multiple credits on their songs, even ones without ghostwriters because the melody of the song, the hook, etc. is often done or helped with by musicians and composers and producers. it doesnt mean they dont write their own lyrics though. this person isnt a drake 'ghostwriter' they just helped with a melody line. the misleading title

Ugh we all know Beyonce isn't a lyricist but she somehow finds a way to get her name on writing credits all the time. Yeah I know songwriting isn't only about writing the lyrics and the best Beyonce can do is change a word or two in a finished song.

I don't care if an artist writes or doesn't write their music. I rather someone capable of writing lyrics write the actual lyrics than an artist try and fail miserably at it.

My problem stems from the fact that people want to take credit that isn't there's to take. Just let the songwriters get the acclaim. You're singing it. You're performing it. You're the face of the song. Do people know who wrote Toxic? No. They know Britney performed it.

There are countless artists who are revered for their talent who have rarely (if ever) wrote a song in their life, and no one takes away their acclaim.

Stealing credit is a shame, man. A damn shame and like someone else said, where there is smoke, there is fire.
