They wouldn't. They just got scared of the threat.
Hundreds of sites already had the pic. They were just acting tough. I doubt they would've actually spent the time and money to erase 1 avatar.
Well, it's not like the website would really get sued for using news articles full but it still became a rule and we get 2 WPs for doing it on accident. Not worth the hassle.

It wasn't just an avatar. It was any and ALL pics of Colton in any remotely homosexual context (which is half of his pics)
