It's because of the power contained in the ring in its tail called the 'Holy Ring'..



It's a Holy item that only Holy type digimon can use, it provides them with great power, but if they lose their grace or the ring itself they are stripped from their power.

So Tailmon (Gatomon) will have the power of a regular Rookie digimon without its ring. Its actual rookie form is Salamon.



You can see the Holy Ring wrapped around Salamon's neck. And that's because Salamon is a dog, not a cat lol.

Okay so I'm thinking and hoping that they'll just forget S2 ever happened. Not that I don't love the second season but it would be weird for them to have TK and Kari involved, presumably having their Digimon evolve to Mega levels and then have the story continue on with Davis, Cody and Yoleai where they're wasting their time on all that ArmorDigivolving mess. It just doesn't seem like they could do it in a way where it would make sense.. but IDK I'm not complaining, just wishing!

Digimon Adventure 1>Digimon Frontier>Digimon Adventure 2.

I skipped the rest because they didn't look good enough.

Even though it would be a weird amalgam, I kinda want Queen Zoe around so she can be BFF with Queen Mimi. Tommy and Koichi would also be acceptable.

I remember this scene the most of the whole series; it made me cry:

Actually, in Series 2 the Digimon lost the ability to Digivolve, and they had to earn back their Digivolutions. And because Gatomon and Patamon chose to DNA Digivolve in Series 2, they didn't need to get back their mega's, because Holy Digimon in mega form are extremely weak against attack. They have 100% attack and 0% defence basically.

However, they did already know how to Digivolve to Mega in the movie, which means it wouldn't be hard to write in that they had already done so. Angemon and Angewoman never said it was the first time they had become mega's in the movie. They actually spoke as if they had done it before.

So if they base this series as a continuation of Series 1, rather than after Series 2, Series 2 was brief enough they can make it work!

no its not the ring, becasue without the ring she can still maintain the form though with less power. she acheved that form on her own without a partners. so she can maintain it on her own, everyone else needs the partners power to digivolve
