#005: John Legend f/Andre 3000 - Green Light
[Weeks: 21*][Peak: #01 (3 Wks)][Rank: #011]
John Legend is just amazing. He is real talented and really demonstrated it on Green Light. Going away from his usual style, John Legend tried something more upbeat. Together with Andre 3000, they created the greatness of this song. At first, I didn't like the song as much, but the more I listened to it, the more I loved the song. Andre 3000's verse really helped the song out a lot. This gave John Legend his first #1 song on my chart, but his fifth Top 5. |

#004: Rihanna - Disturbia
[Weeks: 24][Peak: #01 (4 Wks)][Rank: #004]
Disturbia...the first song I really *****d up. It was the first to get 100 plays in less than 100 days for me. I do not like playing songs so much but with this one, I had to make an exception. I had high expectation for the video and they were met. I can not really explain it, but this song is truly one of my favorites and I was sad to see it didn't make the top 3 of the year. Disturbia spent a record 6 straight weeks at #1 on my chart and gives Rihanna her third Top 5 year-end song. |

#003: Danity Kane - Damaged
[Weeks: 27][Peak: #01 (4 Wks)][Rank: #007]
Damaged was the first song of 2008 to really get much of my attention. It had this big catchyness to it to got one hooked to it. The song quickl caught on and had me anticipating Welcome to the Dollhouse. At one point, I felt that this woould be the #1 song of the year. Overall, it spent 4 straight weeks at #1 and is still one of my most played songs in these past years. |

#002: Avenged Sevenfold - Dear God
[Weeks: 25][Peak: #01 (3 Wks)][Rank: #002]
I first heard this song last year when Avenged Sevenfold's album came out. Dear God was my #1 nonsingle of 2007. Once it was released as a single, I knew it wouldn't have much success but at least we would get a video. The reason I love this song so much is what the song says. It has great lyrics and it seems no matter what Avenged Sevenfold does, it is awesome. Dear God is the only song to ever debut at #1 on my personal chart too. |

#001: Flobots - Handlebars
[Weeks: 35][Peak: #01 (6 Wks)][Rank: #001]
Here we have it...my #1 song of 2008. After many bad hip-hop songs came out with lame beats and stupid lyrics, I was so relieved to hear a song as great as this one. The song immediately became a favorite spending a record 6 weeks at #1 on my chart and 35 weeks on its run. I rarely heard this song on the radio and that made me appriciate it more. I felt the animated video for the song was absolutely perfect as it showed what one can be driven to do. It wasn't a big U.S. hit, it wasn't the most popular song, but it was my favorite song of 2008. |
And there we have it, the top 150 songs of 2008.
