Number 1 from selling low-mid range devices tbh and an SD card is pretty much needed for a Samsung device due to all the bloatware.

But seriously, if Apple manages to pull this off without hurting the iPhone's sales, I bet more manufacturers will start doing this like Sony with the water & dust resistance and Apple with fingerprint scanners.

The headphone jack works great and it's universal, why would they try to change it? This is going to backfire and they should be smart enough to see that.

Why Apple, the iPhone is the only smartphone that I truly like I can't go Android because I hate it and Windows phones suck...

Balony. my Tab Pro 8.4 and my former iPhone 5 has the same user available space and my Tab Pro 8.4 can do much more than my iPhone 5.

Apple has bloatware as well and not the bloatware you exactly need.

The lightning cord did become the norm because all Apple products use it post iPhone 5 use it.

Have you tried it more than 10 minutes to say it sucked? As a former iPhone user, I saw the light and traded it for a Lumia 920. Could not be happier although if times will be rough next year, I might get the 5s. Never the 6.

The article clearly says "want" not "is". Apple isn't planning to do this, the just want to. Apple have wanted to do heaps of things, and most of the time, they haven't.

I mean iOS has JUST gone third-party after 8 years of adding it to the to do list. Do you think the next iPhone will have no headphone jack after they "talk about it" at an event.

There was no confirmation, it was just an idea that Apple want to implicate, while talking to developers at a developer event.

That worked because well it's a charger. There are simply no better alternatives than the one in your box.

The headphone jack comes with variety of headphones and in ears to suit your musical taste and with this, there will be very few options and it would not satisfy customers.

The headphone jack and the charger/connector are different things.

The standard version of my Note 3 has 32GB (unlike iPhone and their $699 16GB), bloatware or not it still has more storage and can easily be expanded to 64GB for less then $40

Why are you saying no to phone you have no idea about At least wait for it to be announced.

I never said Apple devices didnt have bloatware though.

The only reason Apple is doing this is for more $. The lack of an sd card slot may force some users to pay an extra $100 for a few more gigs and if Apple is really using Sapphire for the screen of the 6 (rumored to have a bigger screen size) who knows how much the next gen iPhone will cost!
