I have to say that in the Britney Jean case, I still defend will.i.am tbh. I mean he was hired to do his job and all those label heads, team members and Britney herself have all just let it happen. Whether you like the music or not is something else, but there were enough people who could have made the album go a different direction.

I don't really like the way he went about it (especially with the mention of vines ) but the guy is right. Albums are an outdated concept.

Just look at records and cassette tapes, rewind 50 or so years and tell everyone that the format that they are using is outdated and they'd all give you funny looks and tell you how wrong you are. But obviously now they are. It's pretty ignorant to imagine that the generic 10-16 track album will remain a standard in the music industry forever. Things change, and so will this. Just look at BEYONCÉ, a visual album where every song has a music video. That's already a step in the right direction forward.

Things are changing and this can only be a good thing. I support will in whatever he comes up with. Unless of course he just means that he's only going to release singles from now on that don't belong to an album of any kind, then that's kind of wack.

The content on records and cassettes were still ALBUMS though. I don't understand what you're saying. You seem to be using CD and album interchangeably.
