But I doubt it will go gold in either place as you only have to sell like 15 - 20k to be in the Top 20 on iTunes, hence why it's still only #35
|
What? Coldplay's Midnight sold over 75k and its only #65 on Billboard Hot 100 so it obviously you need more than 15k to be #35.
Lets just say it will go more than Gold in both places.

Not y'all saying Pitbull is more relevant than Kesha when Kesha isn't even in an era
Not Pitbull being half as relevant during his era as Kesha is during any of hers
I can't with y'all

To be quite f-ing honest, this.

Pitbull has said thanks to Kesha several times so don't act like she didn't her props
Pitbull is more relevant than Kesha and that's why his 2012 album outsold Kesha's 2012 album and he's not even in an era either
Not Pitbull being twice more relevant than Kesha on his era as than any Kesha era
I can't with y'all

Omg this post is a mess.
-This was Pitbulls first time on TV to thank Kesha, which he failed to do.
-Pitbull may be more relevant than Kesha at the moment, however it the negative stigma that surrounds his name makes it embarrassing for him, plus he has released three singles since Crazy Kids was released.
-Both Kesha and Pitbulls album have sold about the same in the US, however Kesha managed to do that with three singles and little promo compared to Pitbulls six...
-Timber was only as popular as it was because of the chorus, and whether Kesha is responsible for that or not, i can assure you any 'no name' singer or Pitbull himself couldn't of made it work as well as it did.
so why don't you just stop.

-He already thanked Kesha, there's no need for him to do every time something happens with Timber.
-Do you really wanna talk about negative stigma? Cause when people think of Die Young they think of a shooting for little kids and he has released two singles and Kesha is in one of them.
-Pitbull's album sold 50k more in the US, Pitbull had 3 singles just like Kesha had 3, Back In Time was a song for the Man In Black III movie, Outta Nowhere was cancelled last minute and Timber is from the Meltdown EP, both Kesha and Pitbull and on RCA so if Pitbull had more promo blame Kesha's team.
-Timber is a 50/50 job, if Kesha had sang the hole song it would had been lucky to even go Top 10 on Pop and Top 20 on Billboard, Pitbull had the promo and the radio play not only on Pop but also on Rhythmic which Kesha lacks and even the Spanish radio.
so why don't you just stop?

But the song would've existed anyway. He wanted it to be with Rihanna in the first place, she said no therefore he moved onto Ke$ha.

No it wouldn't of exsisted kesha and her mum wrote the song, don't act like pitbull can write his own song

Pitbull's stigma has to do with him as artist and not to do with one of his songs that supposedly had similarities with an incident.

Wikipedia lists Global Warming as having had five singles from it (all of which charted on the billboard hot 100).
I think you would really, really struggle to find someone who prefers the Pitbull parts in Timber over the Kesha part.
Its a bit sick that you would blame Kesha's 'negative stigma' on the horrorfying incident that happened with the school shooting, obviously the song is suggestive of 'Dying Young' but the link was a reach and I think it would be hard to find someone who actually thinks any part of the incident had do with Kesha directly.
Like I said earlier, which you obviously missed - this was the fist time he had a chance to thank Kesha publicly (the only other times has been on twitter), which is the point of this thread.

@pitbull @KeshaRose you're trash for not mentioning her on the stage
|
lol the fans on twitter are ruthless. yeah idk how he forgot to not mention her onstage, that's a bit messed up. It's not a big deal, but sort of puts things into perspective.
It is NOT hard to give credit to the other person featured on the song that you won a collab for. so.. grats to your win anyways I guess. I doubt they are working together again anytime soon.

You do realise that Timber is about to dethrone Give Me Everything as his biggest song?
If it was Pitbull that made the song successful, all his songs would do as well as Timber.
Kesha has one floppish single (Crazy Kids even though it went Gold) and C'Mon underpeformed but it's close to Platinum.
The rest all sold over 3M and one of them is the biggest selling solo digital song of all time.
You need to stop acting like C'Mon & CK peaked at #80 and fell off or something. Ke$ha has single selling power, and Timber is about to be Pitbull's biggest song.
You're all doing all this defending even though since she won half the award, he didn't even say thank you or acknowledge her?
Even though she wrote the chorus and hook that made it so big?

Midnight was in the Top 3 on iTunes though.
WWL is #21 - #19 where you only need 20k to be there.
The reason why WWL isn't higher on BB is because there isn't streaming or radio power.
But sales wise, it's going to have to stay around #20 for the next few months to go Gold, unless it gets into the Top 10 (which I just can't see).

Why would he? He was the one who gave her a worldwide hit after 2 consecutive flops.

Why do threads like these always become Pitbull vs. Kesha?
Pitbull is a WW force, don't get me wrong. Both artists contributed to the song, that's why I always find arguments like "Kesha gave Pitbull his biggest hit!" or "Pitbull saved Kesha's flop career" redundant, because neither did anything of the sort, they both collaborated and they both scored a hit. It's really that simple. What this thread is about is Pitbull's lack of acknowledgement of Kesha's contribution to the track, which is frankly more than Pitbull's himself, taking the track length into consideration, but also the fact that Kesha's fanbase is the main reason why Pitbull won the award.
What's strange is that Pitbull has given credit to Kesha for Timber in the past and seems very genuine in his thankfulness towards her, so it was almost out of character for him not to thank her. I'm still not totally convinced that things are okay behind the scenes. She wasn't even there to accept the award.

I'm sure he didn't do it intentionally. He doesn't seem the kind.

Two flops that are both closer to Platinum then Gold.
I wish everyone's flops were as big as Kesha's.
