Zendaya Covers 'Cosmopolitan'
Zendaya covered this months issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. She gave an interview with the magazine.
Editor: So Zendaya why did you choose to release this album with this concept?
Zendaya: I just had this thought one morning and was thinking about my career. I thought if I don't start now, I'll never be taken seriously. I love my Disney family but I felt like I had to move on.
Editor: Who and what were you inspirations for this album?
Zendaya: With this album I had many different inspirations. I tried to recreate my favorite albums of all time.
Editor: Which are...?
Zendaya: *laughs* One In A Million, Writings On The Wall, CrazySexyCool, Dangerously In Love, and janet.
Editor: So you went for the 90s?
Zendaya: Yes, I tried to make the album sound as much like the 90s as possible.
Editor: What made you want to release a visual album.
Zendaya: I loved what Beyoncé did, although it wasn't a secret album, I just liked the idea of every song having a video that tells the story.
Editor: What's your favorite video?
Zendaya: Haute Love, I love that video so much. That was the most fun I've ever had filming a music video. Plus I loved that is was in Paris.
Editor: What was the hardest video to film.
Zendaya: Well there's two, Azealia was on tour promoting her album Dramatix and so trying to get her on the set was hard. The other one was Gasoline because I couldn't get the walk right at the end of the video where the house burns down. Plus even though there was tons of fire it was like 46 degrees outside that night.
Editor: Well Zendaya thank you for your time
Zendaya: Thank you for having me
