I seen on twitter, that its been confirmed that Rihanna isn't the only artist on HOME, however she is the main artist. So I don't think this is going to be classed as just a Rihanna album.

So R8 is still coming this year.

You should know by know that twitter navy "confirms" plenty of things. However it's been DIRECTLY confirmed by Dreamworks CEO that HOME is a full Rihanna studio album.

You obviously don't check the box office. Dreamworks animations are ALWAYS hits. Also HOME is the only animated movie being released around the Holidays and it's also going to be the first animation movie released since How To Train Your Dragon 2 (which is coming out June 12th, also made by Dreamworks). Families will obviously be going to see this movie during Thanksgiving weekend and the holidays.

I don't actually mind any of this because the project sounds ambitious. And I won't rule out the material when we haven't heard it.


The only thing that is really bothering me now is that the actual movie is not a musical. What's the point of pumping money, hype, creativity and big names into a soundtrack if we won't even experience this properly.

It WON'T be a huge success like some famous soundtracks because they blow up VIA the movie and the characters which sing the songs.

And can we not say this isnt a soundtrack because as far as we know it is. The album tells the story of Home. It was created for Home. It's a soundtrack.

Jay-Z American Gangster is considered as his 10th album and not a soundtrack, I don't see why we can't consider this as Rihanna's 8th.

Also there different ways to promote music. They want this to be a successful album and they will probably use the album to promote the movie by having Rihanna give a few live performances before and during the movie release.
