02. Skillet - Whispers In The Dark
- Early this year, I found this song on Johnny's countdown and I gave it a listen. I was surprised after listening to it, it was exactly the kind of song I had been hoping to find for months. Whispers In The Dark is easily one of the best songs of this year. Whispers In The Dark was everything I wanted in a rock song: awesome guitar, great lyrics, a great voice, a freaking guitar solo, everything about this song is ****ing awesome. Most people on the forum have never heard this song, but seriously go download it right now. Skillet is one of the best bands we have now and Whispers In The Dark is easily one of, if not the best rock song in a long time.

01. Linkin Park - What I've Done
- I'm sure everyone knew that this would be my favorite song of the year. For many years I've been waiting for new Linkin Park songs. Then for months I was tortured with samples of this song. Finally on April 1st, this song was released in full. Though it wasn't a good quality mp3, it was still enough to make me completely fall in love with the song. The next day, with the HQ mp3 of the song, I would go on to play What I've Done a total of 60 times in that one day. In 3 days, I had played the song 100 times. This was exactly what I was hoping Linking Park would make, and unlike many, I wasn't dissapointed at all. What I've Done debuted on my countdown at 1 and never even left the top 2, clocking in at number 1 a record of 9 times. That's right, NINE times! Linkin Park have been my favorite band for a long time, and What I've Done may be my new favorite song by them. Everyone in Linkin Park did everything perfect on this song, I wouldn't change one thing about it. What I've Done is definately the best song of 2007.
