Yeah it's "one of a kind" the vibe is interesting but the cost of living is not practical for average folk.

Meanwhile, in Toronto (just a semi-random example) the cost of living is a lot lower. Even minimum wage is $11 meanwhile NY's $7.25. That's ridiculous.
Things aren't even the least bit cheap in NYC. It's just not practical at all unless you somehow hit it lucky with a good job (assuming you aren't already buried under student loans and have a decent low cost apartment/roommate situation).

According to new research released today by the Global Language Monitor, an Austin-based data-research company that catalogs trends in word usage, New York is the reigning fashion capital of the world.

Paris finished in second place, with London and Los Angeles close behind. Asia was also well represented with Shanghai in the tenth spot followed by Tokyo (11), Singapore (19), and Hong Kong (20).

How about London, only city to host the Olympic Games THREE times (and host the most recent one!) in 2012. And the fact it beat Paris, Moscow and .... NEW YORK CITY (three global cities) effortlessly to make history. New York City has hosted zero Olympic Games.

Home of the global sports of football, rugby, cricket and tennis. Hosts the world's most prestigious and oldest tennis tournament, Wimbledon.

New York City isn't the place for the Olympics, if we're being honest. If any place in the US should get it, it's Chicago.

Not you thinking Chicago is worthy of the Olympics?! There's a reason it finished last in the race for 2016.

The only U.S. worthy cities for the Olympics are NYC and Los Angeles. But London scalps them in sporting talent for sure.
