Even legends of pop music like Cher, Diana Ross, Kate Bush, Annie Lennox, Janet Jackson, Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston and so on arent there. They can be still inducted in the future of course, but the fact they have been eligible for years and havent been even considered/nominated speaks volumes.

To think that these two recent pop stars have a chance to be inducted is a pure delusion at this point. Its stupid to say that when you have memorabilia displayed there means you are halfway there/three times there It has nothing to do with it, they just try to make money off of them. Having some memorabilia in their museum doesnt mean much, considering that all of the above mentioned pop legends have their memorabilia there and some of them even performed at the RnRHoF ceremonies. Heck, even Paula Abdul had her costume displayed there, yet she has zero chance to get there.

Katy will never get inducted. Having number 1 hits doesn't make you a legend or worthy of being there. There's more to it than that and Katy has yet to prove she's more than just a pop act that can score number 1 hits.
