My Dad said 'nobody, music has been crap since the 1980s and the 60s is where it's at.'
He likes the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Gerry and Pacemakers, Beach Boys and The Who.
He did recently buy a Jonny Cash CD for the car. It was dirt cheap at the supermarket, £1 or something. I asked him about it later and he said it didn't have any tracks he liked apart from Ring of Fire.
A few months ago, I was playing Blown Away (song) and he asked me who was singing. I said Carrie Underwood. He didn't say whether he liked her song or not. He just said he'd never heard of her and walked away.
My Mum says
1) Tina Turner
2) Rod Stewart
3) Tom Jones
4) Shirley Bassey
5) Rhydian from X-Factor UK!
I've no idea why she likes Rhydian. She's even been to see him in concert.
My Step-Dad says that Leona Lewis is the biggest pop-star in the world. He read this in a newspaper a few years ago and still believes it is true. I even had an argument with him about it, so don't even bother trying to update him anymore.
