I understand abandoning Basic Instinct, with the material it has it would have went no where, but abandoning "Ciara" makes absolutely no sense to me. There are a good 3 HIT singles left out of this album. *sigh*
Hopefully her and her team can regroup and come up with a better strategy for #6, right single choices, constant promo, and a tour. Maybe a Pitbull or David Guetta feature?

She got pregnant in September right when she was beginning to ask fans for what video they want.
They should have still did the Overdose video then though so I see what you mean.
Aslong as theres nothing like Im Out on this album (which killed off the era after the epicness of Body Party) and delivers more tracks like Backseat Love, DUI, Read My Lips, Overdose (for a more pop, commercial sound) and matures her sound even more..
Ciara has got every chance at the grammy's next year if she focuses on her strengths and stops worrying about her weaknesses - (POP) an amazing R&B song has the chance to crossover so focus on that and we're all good. I need a new Backseat Love. Something edgy, STRONG lyrics, amazing production, good clear vocals. Thats all i need from this new era tbh.
Just to point out... Ci will probably be offered better material this time around seeing as though Body Party still sits at #12 on the R&B charts! She should release a new single soon and a second right before the birth of the baby 😂😂😂
Hopefully it's handled better. I keep hearing Overdose here in the UK and it wasn't even promoted, correct me if I'm wrong, such a missed opportunity. Ciara was a great album.
On her new album: “I’ve been recording on my album. I actually started around Thanksgiving of last year and I’m in the most comfortable creative space I could possibly be in.
