I don't know why Ryan Tedder is subtlety implying "Counting Stars" is so superior
when it sounds like a watered-down version of "Die Young" to begin with.
...Vin
Not when "Timber" is a watered down version of 'Wake Me Up".
Ryan Tedder has written some of the most generic pop-rock abominations to defile the Hot 100 in the last six years, Counting Royalties form Selling Everyone the Same Beat Stars included.

Exactly. "Counting Stars" is beyond generic, and not even the good,
"I want to sing along to it" kind of generic. And yet Ryan is coming for "Timber?"
Why? Because it has rock element to it and feel good lyrics? That to me is the opposite of out of the box. At least Timber is like rap/country, I mean when was the last time someone got away with that?
