1) Do we follow official Grammy submissions? Par exemplar, The Way, #Beautiful, and Hold On, We're Going Home were all submitted to Pop Duo/Group. I happen to believe that those were all INCORRECT submissions. Can I submit them to their rightful categories?
2) Do singles released in other countries count as eligible submissions? (I'm talking about FLATLINE, but I think you already know this.)
3) Can 'tracks' - singles not officially released as singles - be voted for? (Namely Lay Down in Swimming Pools and the combo of Grown Woman/Standing on the Sun.)
4) Can we submit album tracks to categories?
5) Can we do more than one artist per category? (I'd love to have two Mimi tracks up for Record of the Year.)
6) I'm feeling lazy - when was Everything is Embarrassing officially released?
Ace, I'm so glad you showed up to lend this thing a touch of class! Indeed, let's chat.
1) This is the ATRL Grammys, so while we're following NARAS procedures, I want the nominees and winners to fully reflect the tastes of this forum. This first round is basically the equivalent of the record label submissions process and we can decide what properly belongs where.
I would argue that "#Beautiful" and "Hold On, We're Going Home" both belong in the R&B field (and, for your consideration, they would also both make fantastic ROTY and SOTY nominees). "The Way" is definitely rap/sung.
2) ATRL is a global site with eclectic tastes and it would actually be great if the ceremony reflected that. So "Flatline," for example, can (and should! Another for your consideration!) be nominated for Record of the Year. K-pop fans who want to submit their faves and crash this thing YouTube Music Awards-style are more than welcome.
3) I'm a little torn here. "Mixtape" tracks (like "Lay Down In Swimming Pools") are certainly welcome. But did those Beyoncé songs ever even leak? I'm not sure what's out there to judge them by besides low-quality concert footage. It might be better to wait until they're released on her album next year. What do others think?
4) Absolutely, as long as the album came out in the eligibility period.
5) I'm actually fine with that, since we're just sorting out the longlists right now.
6) Hmm. It premiered on Pitchfork August 30, 2012 and got a video October 1, but it wasn't actually released as a single (in the UK) until this past April. This is...grey area.

I think Vampire Weekend, Sky Ferreira, AlunaGeorge, Lorde, and Arctic Monkeys are taking my album nominees. But Ariana, Icona Pop, Arcade Fire, Paramore, Drake, M.I.A. (!!!), HAIM, Janelle and a bunch of others that are not at the top of my head at the moment are making it TOO hard!
