The people saying R. Kelly is better than Rihanna right now.
R.Kelly is a R&B legend, he worked with the biggest in the industry including Michael Jackson and the good sis Celine Dion or Aaliyah, while the biggest feature of Rih was on charity song by Beyonce or Jay Z (which had artists like Bono, Mariah & MJB)...
R.Kelly write, produce, sing, and has his COINS for DAYS, with all his classic songs.
Having a couple #1 it's a big thing, but stay relevant with classic hits which still goes on radio +20 years after releasing it.
Call me when Rih could write and produce something like this
You can't tell other stans that they're living in the past when you bring up albums sales from the 90s compared to 2005-20013. In 2 years, WFL managed to almost match the total sales of IBICF that has so far spanned 17 years.
Almost... and that's because people bought R Kelly's album and there was no iTunes back in 1998.
But if you don't want to bring up numbers, than Rihanna has NO way of competing. R Kelly is a writer, producer and vocalist and respected for his work. He's an artist.
If you don't want to bring album sales into it because too much has changed in the industry, it's unfair to then bring up singles sales because those too have drastically changed since the 1990s.
Tell em.

Rihanna does not write and does not produce music. All the Navy has to brag about are top 10s, when R. Kelly also has a few of them and he didn't need digital sales.

I brought up single sales to prove my point of it being pointless of her in bringing up album sales.

Keep trying. We Found Love is nowhere to be a classic, not yet.
So you've offered nothing worth replying to, per usual.

...Seems like everyone understood my post but yourself.
I think it matters very little which singer has had the bigger song, who has more Grammy's, how many people have praised their work, etc. because at the end of the day it's Gaga's album and she can choose whatever and whomever she wants to appear on it. I doubt her musical decisions are based on the resume alone of her collaborators and their ranking in the world.
Again, that is matter of opinion. Repetition helps people memorize and get it stuck in their head. Very common trick used in pop music, or do you not agree?
It works with certain songs (SL and Umbrella) it doesn't with others (WFL) and I already admitted that to be my opinion.
The SL vocals alone destroy the vocals on WFL tho.
The critics agree with me, which is why despite all it's success WFL couldn't win a Grammy and Single Ladies did.

WFL was wrongfully submitted early and the voting period was before the full potential of WFL was unleashed. Had the label waited till the following Grammys to submit, WFL would have had a much better shot of snatching an award aside from the one it won.

I know there is politics when it comes to Grammys but success should not determine better odds for a Grammy. It is unfortunate that it does though.
