Not sure what methodology you're using because TVR came out to very mixed reviews. So there's no way it should have a score that high. Also, Control and RN1814 were universally praised. So those numbers should be higher, in the 90s.

The Velvet Rope was more positively received than mixed though. From the amount of reviews i've read over the years I think the collective opinion is that its real downfall was its length. Had she pared it down some it probably would've been praised as flawlessly as Rhythm Nation and Control.

Ray of Light is a better album than Like a Prayer. I'm sorry but I too am one of few Madonna fans that find Like a Prayer totally overrated. The song itself is a pop gem, Till Death Do Us Part and Oh Father are great. But the rest of the album just falls flat and its often not acknowledged how generic Cherish, Express Yourself, Keep It Together, and Pray for Spanish Eyes are. There is thematic cohesion throughout the album, I get that, but overall I just think Ray of Light accomplishes so much more even when I don't care for every single song on that album either.

Critics called Velvet Rope a MASTERPIECE, so it should be in the 80s. Also, Control n RN1814 were met with 'general' acclaim, so it's right!

Control was considered her masterpiece and RN1814 a perfect follow up. Their acclaim wasn't just "general".
