Britney is getting a FULL 168 hours (7 days) of sales instead of 6 days...
"
Hold It Against Me" = 411k (1st week & released on a Tuesday)
"
Till the World Ends" = 117k (in 3 days)
"
3" = 255k (1st week & released on a Tuesday)
"
Womanizer" = 286k (1st week, released on a Tuesday AND a record at the time)
"
Circus" = 212k (1st week & released on a Tuesday, coinciding w/ the release of the album)
"
Gimme More" = 179k (1st week & released on a Tuesday)
These are all VERY impressive 1st single (and 2nd singles) sales in the first week! I honestly EXPECT Britney to easily top "
Hold It Against Me" 1st week sales.
"
Work Bitch" is (again) ahead of its time here. She has done this with "
I'm A Slave 4 U" and "
Hold It Against Me" but this song is a perfect workout song and it's catchy as HELL!
I expect around 500k sold first week since it's going to iTunes at midnight!
Now, keeping it real, I don't think she'll surpass Katy Perry's "
Roar" because she, too, benefited from a full 7 days of digital sales.
EDIT: BUT... I also think Britney's "
Work Bitch" will outsell Lady Gaga's "
Applause". All T, no shade.
