The only Star Ocean I've ever played is SO3 Till the End of Time.
It seems fun, but the battle system kinda ruins it for me for some reason. I probably just don't understand it that well. I've never even made it out of the sewer part

I'm not sure. I haven't finished the main story, that's for sure, but I finally got the cat lady on my team. I'm probably not that far, yet, since we haven't reached En II yet. Truthfully, it's hard to tell how far you are on this game since you don't have a "clear" objective every time, but we're making progress...

They all are... but that's why I love it! Truly, the only sensible character so far is Reimi... which is probably why her ass is getting caught, and sick, and whatnot...

Aside from Lymle and that bird bitch, it's not that bad. Lymle gets on my LAST nerve because she sounds like an emo teenager, yet she's eight. The bird bitch, I don't understand if she's supposed to sound bored, but she does...

Kinda. They're more a mixture. You have a swordsman who can heal, a magician with a sword, a healer who can use magic, and a girl with a bow...

The cat girl seemed ok so far, but the robot dude, he was like that one useless character that you never play with, like even worse than Colette (who can compensate her annoying behavior with a few cute skills)
