I mean I love Roman Holiday and Come on A cone but they fit into the not radio friendly category.
The Re-Up is starting to feel the same. The Boys was a complete mess and flopped. Freedom is surely a step up from The Boys but I don't feel magic or an absolute smash from it like I did from some mixtape/original Pink Friday tracks.

i know exactly where you're coming from that 's why i wanted her to give Freedom a more strong chorus so it can appeal mainstream a tad bit more. even the most peaceful songs have a strong chorus that brings it all together.
Nicki's formula needs to consist of the following: substance + hot beats + catchy choruses + a powerful delivery = smash
she can do that for any genre and succeed urban and pop but she's already mastered the art of commercial music so that's not a problem we just need her to focus on the execution of her urban and substance music. Roman holiday and come on a cone were instant album gems that should not ever meet radio and as for the boys, ....she would've got someone else to do the chorus and made it a little more catchier through different means (bridge chorus) but they could've scrapped that ...i didn't think it was 1rst single song ...could've just been on the album and left alone
