It is perfect because ci is a visual artist. When people who are iffy on a ciara song etc all they need to see is a video/performance then they love it, this strategy fits ciara.

what are you even talking about.
if she's doing promo, it's promo that doesn't matter because no one knows she has a new-ish song out ("sorry") and even FEWER people know that she has a new album coming out and ANOTHER new single about to drop in a few days.
stop acting like this isn't a mess. I don't think any of it is ciara's fault, but everything they have done so far has been a ****ed up, confusing disaster.

What are YOU talking about?
Sorry has been increasing on urban radio for the past week and is always on 106 & Park (promo). She peformed it at Black Girls Rock (which airs November 4) and she's gonna perform it on Jimmy Kimmel (airs October 25). It took a few weeks for some major promo but it's coming. If you're confused, it's probably your fault.

oh, it's "always on" 106 & Park how could I forget.
okay, she's filmed some performances - that's great. but the song premiered over a month ago and hasn't charted yet.
and I guess you can act like the whole "Sweat" debacle wasn't confusing at all, but what about that track wtih Rick Ross that was supposed to come out? and why was "Livin' It Up" released? how about teasing the release for Sorry in August and then.....not releasing it? or the early October release date for "Got Me Good" which was then randomly delayed because "Sorry needed to take off on Rhythmic"?
if you don't think any of that is confusing or messy...congratulations

Sooooooo excited. From the dance moves I'm excited for the tempo... It's gonna be a banger!
Perhaps sorry was just meant to create a buzz amongst her core fans ( hence the throwback sound ) whilst got me good is gonna go for the mainstream and haters

106 & Park is constant promo for the song. Almost every time the video's on, she trends on Twitter.
The song has charted; it's currently #49 on Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop chart & #20 on their R&B chart. It's also #32 on urban radio.
Sweat was a promo single; it always was. They scrapped the digital release probably because it was too late once the song premiered. The Rick Ross song, Boy Outta Here, wasn't supposed to be released. That was a rumor. Livin It Up was apart of a summer playlist Epic put together for Cosmopolitan Magazine. Never a single. Sorry being delayed was probably the only confusing part this era. It doesn't matter though. We have the song now & it's starting to pick up on radio. The Got Me Good delay was smart and now that's it coming out soon, she'll have two songs on radio. People will know she's back.

I must correct you, everything you said was right, except for BOH was supposed to be the single, the underdogs tweeted about it, even fans complained to them and harvey said that the label promised them the song was coming the week of July 12th, so they were confused also, the other producer of it, Astro, was even tweeted and got tweets from his friends talking about how much of a smash it is and Astro was going to pop a bottle because he never had a single placement until BOH, ALSO the single cover was shot sooo.....thats pretty obvious...... Sweat was NOT a promo single, it later turned into one, but everywhere Ciara said Sweat was her FIRST single, but yeah Ciara should be good now.

That BOH plan might've been true, but it was never confirmed. It never even got any time on the blogs. Only fans that decided to believe that would've gotten confused.
Sweat was always a promo single, check billboard.biz. It was listed as one. First single doesn't always equal official lead single.

First single means first single, what first single does not mean is promo or buzz single, even Ciara said herself "what we decided to do is make it appetizer" meaning their plans switched from it being a full out single to nothing basically, and ofcourse billboard.biz is calling it a promo song NOW because it has been scrapped and done with

Boy Outta Here WAS supposed to be the first single. That's why the cover leaked and all once it was scrapped. I mean, didn't Ciara even say herself that something regarding the three letters B.O.H. would be coming the fans' way soon, back in July? Then we got nothing? This era has been nothing short of a mess plan-wise thus far. Hopefully they have a clear plan now, and stop making all these last minute changes. From a listening party in Africa or some place, it left the impression that Livin It Up would be the international single.

I'm a Ciara stan and you are exactly RIGHT!!! If you're not appart of sites like this you really don't know what's going on with Ciara, and even though her Urban radio play is picking up, Its not picking up fast enough. Hopefully Oct 25th and Nov 4th puts Ciara back on the map.
Her last albums probably would've done well if People Knew About Them!!! ..... Alot of my friend thought "Sweat" was still the first Single
