"Jungli" is a bit of a messy term, as on its own, it's used as slang to mean "primative", to describe somebody as literally coming from the jungle, Mowgli-style.

Yep, that's why I suggested it. It's the modern age so I think we should reclaim derogatory words and get rid of the negative meaning.
Well it's true though. Indian things like Hindi, Telugu & Tamil movies just don't have international appeal. Also, Indians aren't supportive of things that have universal appeal. Just look at the woman Maxim India voted the hottest woman in the world.
Anyway we need to gain mainstream support or Priyanka will never have success.

Well i agree tho but i have no doubt in my mind that Bollywood singers r better than the hollywood singers its just they make average music although i wanted Sunidhi and shreya to release an english album but i am happy for PC i hope her song debut on BB Hot 100

You mean western singers. Hollywood isn't a music industry.
And yes, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Goshal are good singers (I also like Anushka Manchanda), but they're only two and they can't compete with great voices like Whitney Houston or Celine Dion. And they definitely can't compete with western or even East Asian pop stars. All they do is offer their voice for films and stand around when they sing. They don't dance or even appear in music videos. They offer no pop star value.
Also, why is that Hindi pop videos are always covers of old Hindi movie songs with a model (who can't even dance) lip synching to it? India has no real pop stars.

well as per indian pop diva/singer is considered well we don't have itunes and moreover not many people buy albums here so its not a good move for anybody to release an album feature himself/herself in the music video unlike West in india people r behind big names and movie stars there r very few people who r interested in singers and moreover singers r payed less than the actors
so i guess indians r really not for Singers and its a very sad thing

I've seen Shreya live. She's really one note with the same type of girl-like innocent voice thing. As for Sunidihi:
^ That was great, but what's so amazing about it? Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Beyoncet, etc. can do the same. Also, they can dance, look good and entertain a crowd at the same time instead of just standing there.

India doesn't have iTunes for this reason (even Sri Lanka does). No ones buys anything and the few music videos there are don't even have the singers featured (not that they should considering their looks and performing skills). And yes, I'm aware Indians are only behind big names; that's just a recipe for mediocrity. Again, look at who Maxim India chose as the sexiest woman in the world.
