Not necessarily. Gaga is pop and Nicki is rap. Even though Nicki is now branching off and doing her own little thing in pop they're not necessarily making the same music. The comparisons are not because of her music it's because of her imagery.

Exactly, I kind of feel bad for Nicki or any girl who tries to be different and then they get labeled as a Gaga copier or they are automatically inspired by Gaga. It's not necessarily true and sometimes people just truly think that they are doing something different.

It's not just about gaga's music. Her outfits (what people are saying nicki "copies" her for) don't do anything but disgust me. But when i see nicki dressing in those ways, i think she pulls it off well lol.

So let me start over.

I don't agree with the nicki and gaga comparisons because i can't stand gaga, but i love nicki so if they really were that similar, i would either love them both or hate them both. and then you said gaga's music was pop, and nicki's was rap. but in the end, they're both mainstream and easy on the ears. so i don't think it has anything to do with that.

As for everything else, It's clear that Nicki and Gaga don't have the same fashion sense, they both wear extravagant outfits, you will catch them wearing the same outfits once or twice but that's it.

It has nothing to do with the music it is completely the wardrobe especially since Gaga's fashion is a huge part of her career. If you don't like Gaga that's fine but don't deny the similarities.

I just find it funny that everyone is supposedly "copying Gaga" when there's been reports of Gaga copying/taking inspiration from Madonna, Kelis, Lil Kim, Britney Spears and more. I don't follow Gaga so I couldn't care less if these claims were true or not but it's just funny. Everyone thinks everyone is copying someone.

I mean besides a few tweaks, everything has been done before. I mean the Harajuku culture in Japan has been dressing wacky before 2008, so, does that mean Gaga "copied" them? No. Even with Madonna. A lot of her style in her early career has been seen before by Marilyn Monroe. Does that mean she's copying her? No.
