Why are people saying Kesha's would go "#1"? On what basis? Better performances or what?
It would have been just as successful or less. It's not like Kesha's vocals/performances are on some next level **** and it's not like she can just sell based on her name alone.
I mean... she sounds so awkward singing it. It could've been more successful, but it definitely fits Britney's voice better. This version is just fan made, btw.
Faker than some of the pics in PYP. Those are just filtered BG vocals from the remix.
Can anyone honestly imagine Ke$ha selling that song with the same kind of gritty sensuality that made Britney's version work so well? That is Britney's specialty! (See: "I'm a Slave 4 U.") I seriously doubt the critics would have been all over it in the same way if "Till the World Ends" had been a Ke$ha track.
At least in the US, it would have done better, if for no other reason than the fact that Ke$ha is a hot new digital artist. Ke$ha has pushed some mediocre singles to 3M+ without much promo, and TTWE is better than any Ke$ha single except for Tik Tok. I don't see why she couldn't have done the same for TTWE.
But as someone mentioned, the lyrics would need tweaking. Ke$ha cannot pull off the sex kitten act... at all.
Then by the same token Rihanna has more of a pull than Britney? S&M remix comes to mind.
and the fact that it was released when the song was peaking...even katys remix didn't last unless it was released at the start of the chart run
logic would tell you that
