This song was released in December and has served as a promo single for Diana Vickers. This song is an amazing electro-indie track that will have you hooked in seconds. Diana is one of my favourite artist's and you will know why after you give this genius promo single a listen. Diana Vickers @ #7 with 'Kiss of a Bullet'
You'd have to be a fool to say that this song isn't an instant classic. This song served with the vocals, melody, lyrics and emotion has to be one of the best songs in the last 10 years. Of course it reached #1 both in the UK and U.S., showing that you can be just as successful in both markets despite their huge differences if you have the talent. 'Someone Like You' will be remembered for a very long time, and if you haven't got into this song yet, it is waiting patiently to slay your soul!
Entering at #5 is Avril's 'What The Hell', the first single ever released in 2011, being released at 00.00 January 1st, 2011... and what a song to open the year. Been given away for free, being released on i-tunes a week late, and the adds date a week after that, the song still managed to peak at #11 on Billboard after an opening week of 164,000 copies sold. It peaked again @ #11 three months later with minimal promo and lack of radio support, but ended up going platinum anyway. Yes this song was definitely the yo-yo hit of 2011. Please listen and jam to Avril Lavigne during your new years bash!
Nicola Robert's debut wasn't exactly a starring point in 2011 for the general public, but there is absolutely no denying that this girl has talent and star power. Nicola Roberts surprisingly came out with the best single ever from a Girl's Aloud solo star, and proved to be one of the best singles of 2011 - even with its lack of success, this song is critically acclaimed... and it is very easy to see why.
5. Lady Gaga - Judas
4. Ke$ha - Blow 3. Avril Lavigne - Smile
2. Rebecca Black - My Moment
1. Nicole Scherzinger - Right There

SPECIAL ENTRY
Avril Lavigne
Song Title: Push
Although 'Push' wasn't a single, I am adding it to my list because A) It should have been a damn single and B) This is the single Avril wanted released first and foremost from Goodbye Lullaby. It was a smash waiting to happen but alas like 'Things I'll Never Say', 'Take Me Away', 'Runaway' and 'Innocence', this Avril-esque classic will never see the light of day on mainstream radio. Sad, but a true fact. I would like to dedicate this #11 chart position also to 'What The Hell' which charted at just #11 on Hot 100, stalling and stopping there for weeks on end failing to reach the top 10. Below is Avril's best performance of 'Push', sang in the UK on T4.
Rating: 9/10
I think here is where 'Smile' should be but anyway
'Push' is alaso amazing!

No, it's not the most creative. It isn't the best. It doesn't have the greatest lyrics. But damn this song is good! It is a party song that if any of you are at least bit sociable (doubtful thinking about it now ), you will have noticed this song jamming every Fri and Sat night! It will remain one of my favourite singles of the year and has placed #3!
